VinFast Records Explosive Growth in Electric Car Sales in the Vietnamese Market in March

VinFast announced that it delivered 27,609 electric vehicles in the Vietnamese market in March 2026, representing a 127% year-on-year increase compared to March 2025.

This outstanding performance not only reinforces VinFast’s undisputed leadership in the domestic market but also highlights the accelerating shift toward electric mobility among consumers.

All VinFast EV models recorded strong sales growth in March 2026. Notably, on March 28 alone, VinFast successfully processed and fulfilled 3,520 EV orders, ready for customer delivery, marking the highest single-day sales record ever achieved by an automotive brand in Vietnam.

Among the lineup, Limo Green emerged as the best-selling model in March, with 6,795 units sold, up 276% month-on-month, making it the most popular VinFast model currently. Its family-oriented and personal-use variant, VF MPV 7, also recorded remarkable growth of 116% compared to the previous month, reaching 2,521 units sold. These results underscore the growing preference for electric vehicles across all customer segments when selecting a mid-size 7-seater for personal, family, or commercial use.

Other models also posted impressive growth in March 2026. The VF 7 led the entire C-SUV segment with 1,732 units delivered, up 115% compared to February.

The VF 9, VF 8, VF 6, VF 5, and VF 3 continued to maintain strong appeal, solidifying their positions among the most favored models in their respective segments. Notably, VF 6 achieved a 202% increase with 3,152 units sold, while VF 5 (including both personal and commercial variants) reached a total of 4,218 units, up 158%. VF 3 also posted a 108% increase, with 4,729 units delivered in March 2026.

Two compact models targeting urban transport and logistics services, EC Van and Minio Green, also achieved their highest monthly sales since launch. Specifically, 1,136 EC Van units and 1,969 Minio Green units were delivered to customers in March 2026.

On a year-to-date basis, Limo Green is currently the best-selling VinFast model in Vietnam, with a total of 12,471 units delivered, averaging over 4,150 units per month. It is followed by VF 3 (10,188 units), VF 5 (8,672 units, including Herio Green), VF 6 (6,679 units), Minio Green (3,809 units), VF MPV 7 (3,686 units), and VF 7 (3,514 units).

In total, VinFast delivered 53,684 electric vehicles in the first three months of 2026, reaffirming its position as the absolute leader in the Vietnamese automotive market.

The consistent and widespread segment leadership of VinFast models reflects a clear and inevitable trend toward electric vehicle adoption among domestic consumers, driven by economic efficiency, product quality, and practicality.
