Philippine automotive journalists and content creators were given an exclusive inside look at XPENG’s technology, manufacturing and future mobility ecosystem during a six-day brand immersion program held from August 10 to 15 in Guangzhou, China, home to the company’s headquarters.
Held ahead of XPENG’s official Philippine brand launch in September, the program was designed to give Philippine media a deeper understanding of the company beyond its vehicles. Participants experienced how XPENG brings together artificial intelligence, software, engineering and advanced manufacturing as it builds its vision for Physical AI mobility.
Throughout the immersion tour, participants took part in five core experiences that demonstrated the company’s vision for intelligent mobility:
● Participants explored XPENG’s Physical AI Ecosystem, tri-domain AI architecture spanning smart EVs, humanoid robotics (IRON), and low-altitude aircraft via its rebranded aviation division, ARIDGE. Powered by proprietary, in-house designed Turing AI chips, the technology establishes a long-term vision to improve road safety and address complex urban mobility challenges in cities like Metro Manila and Cebu.
● Media did an XPENG Smart Factory Tour where they observed near-100% automated robotics, AI-driven visual quality control, and integrated front/rear gigacasting that reduces body weight while improving crash safety. The tour provided direct proof of XPENG’s assembly precision and manufacturing capacity, reassuring local distributors and buyers of reliable inventory delivery.
● A key experiential activity also was a workshop and public-road experience of VLA 2.0, XPENG’s next-generation intelligent driving technology, allowing participants to see the technology in real-world conditions on the streets of Guangzhou. The delegation also witnessed the XPENG Land Aircraft Carrier docking and demonstration, offering a glimpse into the company’s vision for the future of mobility beyond land vehicles.
● One of the highlights of the six-day immersion was the grand debut of the XPENG G9L, which brought together members of the international media and gave the Philippine delegation a front-row view of one of XPENG’s latest global product milestones.
● The delegation examined the L03 fastback coupe SUV, built for tech-savvy buyers with an ultra-low 0.228 Cd drag coefficient and dual powertrain versatility (BEV and EREV with 1,000+ km range). To solve local range anxiety, it features fast-charging capabilities (10% to 80% in 20 minutes) and is among the first global models to integrate native Google Maps data directly into its automated driving system.
The Guangzhou immersion comes just weeks before XPENG officially launches in the Philippines in September, when the company will formally introduce the brand and its intelligent mobility proposition to Filipino consumers, led by the X9 and L03.
The Philippine launch will mark the next step in XPENG’s entry into the market as it seeks to introduce Filipino motorists to a different proposition in premium mobility, one built not simply around electrification, but around AI mobility and the continued evolution of land transportation through technology.
