Amid volatility in global fuel prices, Vingroup has announced the launch of a special “Trade Gas for Electric” program in Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The program offers an additional 3% discount on VinFast cars and 5% discount on VinFast electric scooters for customers switching from old gasoline vehicles.

EV owners in the Philippines, particularly VinFast drivers, may take comfort in new research suggesting that electric vehicles can match or even surpass gasoline cars in long-term reliability.
With fuel prices remaining volatile and many Filipino drivers weighing the long-term costs of car ownership, questions about durability and maintenance have become key considerations when exploring EV options.
VinFast has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with transportation solution providers PT. Satu Kosong Tujuh and PT Sembilan Benua Abadi for the planned supply of a total of 20,000 VinFast electric vehicles by 2028.
The agreements mark a significant milestone in VinFast’s strategy to expand its green mobility ecosystem in Indonesia, while reinforcing the Company’s credibility, market influence, and role in accelerating the electrification of transportation across Southeast Asia.
VinFast India, a leading innovator in electric mobility, has been honored with the “New Entrant of the Year” award at the FASTER Awards 2026, a prestigious automotive award organized by a federation of leading automotive journalists and industry experts in India.
The judging panel commended the quality of the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer’s products, as well as its strong commitment to advancing sustainable mobility in the South Asian nation.
