SEMA Update

Chevrolet is presenting an onslaught of performance cars at the 2013 SEMA show taking place in Las Vegas, U.S. this week, with the headline act being a trio of Corvette Stingray concepts.  Many of the Chevy concepts unveiled at SEMA, including these three Corvette Stingrays, have roots at the race track, while others show racing-influenced styling for the street. Importantly, many of the items fitted to the cars are available through the Chevrolet Accessories and Chevrolet Performance catalogs.

Honda Motor Co said it will recall about 344,000 Odyssey minivans in the U.S. to fix a software defect that may lead the vehicle to suddenly and harshly brake without the driver pressing the brake pedal. The Japanese automaker said it is not aware of any crashes or injuries related to this problem, which affects minivans built for the 2007 and 2008 model years. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

Recently, two people were driving along in their Audi in China when—BOOM—a gigantic shipping container slipped off a truck and landed right on top of their car. It literally flattened the roof and crushed the entire fro…nt end of the car. Miraculously, the two people who were in the Audi at the time did survive. They needed to be treated for some non-life threatening injuries at a hospital a short time later, but it seems they’re both going to be fine. Can’t say about their car, though.
