Nine days into his coma, positive news is finally emerging from the Michael Schumacher camp. Multiple authoritative media sources, including major German news agencies and television broadcasters, cited the 45-year-old’s manager Sabine Kehm in reporting that Schumacher’s life is no longer in imminent danger. Italy’s La Gazzetta dello Sport quoted Kehm as saying the family had “heaved a sigh of relief” early this week. And a doctor treating Schumacher, Jean-Francois Payen, was quoted as saying: “While we emphasise that the danger has not yet passed, it is certainly no longer acute.”

DIG OR DIS: SUCCESSOR TO CHEVROLET Z06

imageWith the new 2014 Corvette Stingray hitting showrooms soon, we can only assume that Chevy will be revealing higher-performance versions in the near future. One of these new high-performance versions is the successor to the Z06, and, according to Chevrolet’s official confirmation it will keep the same nomenclature during the seventh generation. Just like the previous Z06 , the new model, will likely feature a sportier suspension system, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and larger Michelin tires to help keep the speedy `Vette glued to the road. Rumors suggest that the Z06 will carry a 6.2-liter, V-8 engine that delivers a total of 600 horsepower and mates to a Tremec TR-6070, seven-speed manual transmission.
