Hyundai Named Top Mass-Market Brand in J.D. Power’s 2025 Tech Study

For the sixth straight year, Hyundai Motor Company has clinched the top spot as the leading mass-market brand in the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study, a testament to its relentless drive to redefine automotive innovation.

Celebrating a decade of insights, the TXI Study dives deep into how automakers bring cutting-edge tech to life, measuring not just the novelty of features, but how well they’re executed and how much value they deliver to real drivers, all through the lens of customer experience.

Hyundai Motor’s performance in the 2025 U.S. TXI Study highlights its strength in delivering intuitive, reliable and impactful technology designed for everyday driving.

The 2025 Hyundai SANTA FE’s Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) was honored for enhancing visibility and driver confidence during lane changes.

The SANTA FE’s BVM enhances safety by providing real-time visuals of the vehicle’s blind spots. When the turn signal is activated, side-mounted cameras display live video footage of the corresponding blind spot on the instrument cluster. This feature allows drivers to detect vehicles, cyclists, or other obstacles that may not be visible in the conventional mirrors, reducing collision risks and boosting overall confidence while changing lanes.

The BVM is one of the features under Hyundai’s suite of smart and advanced technologies, Hyundai SmartSense, which was designed to aid drivers when on the road.

About the J.D. Power U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) StudySM

The 2025 U.S. TXI Study is based on responses from 76,230 owners of new 2025 model-year vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership. The study was fielded from March 2024 through February 2025. The U.S. TXI Study complements the annual J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS)SM and the J.D. Power U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) StudySM by measuring how effectively each automotive brand brings new technologies to market. The U.S. TXI Study combines the level of adoption of new technologies for each brand with excellence in execution. The execution measurement examines how much owners like the technologies and how many problems they experience while using them.
